Sorry, couldn't resist comment (nor the appalling title), but from the Quick News, do have a look, I beseech you, at this bloke's website - hilarious.

Looks nothing like him. There's an unfortunate photo of him next to Connery, which only goes to emphasise this.

Yeah, that's much more likely - the Episode II look, anyway.

But he doesn't appear to be very tall so I guess that's why he hasn't gone down that route.

What a pathetic attempt.

And the grammar on the site is horrible to boot.

Come on guys he's got the eyebrow move down and you've got to love the mascera on his brows. With a decent wig and some plastic surgery he could bear a passing resemblence to Connery after a fifth or so of hard alcohol...as long as you didn't have your glasses on and you were starting on your second fifth.

Did anyone hear him as Connery? Click on the "James Bond" link at his website.

I think he is Count Dooku.

If this clown can actually get paid to pretend he's Connery, I'm going to grow back my beard, let my hair go back to it's natural dark blond, lose a few pounds, and capitalize on my resemblance to Russell Crowe. I should be able to do at least as well as this guy. I'm not sure how to pick up the Australian accent though. Being from CA my accent is about as far away as you can get from Australian.

Clonery! More like Clownery.

No problem. Remember, if the clown hadn't gotten himself killed I wouldn't have gotten the promotion to take his place as 009 and I'd still be stationed in some outpost in the middle of nowhere.

Who were the other guys? Elvis impersonators who only knew Sinatra songs? He's gotten jobs after this? Well, there's one more reason to trade Florida for Puerto Rico and let them them be the fiftieth state. :)

Allen, whose Connery shtick was profiled recently in Accent, beat out a Jack Nicholson, a Bob Hope and a Jackie Gleason.

Actually surprised to see no Elvis wannabes in there, now that you mention it, Ed. Suppose they're a dime a dozen, these days. Had one running for mayor this year. Really.

Better than the Greens' candidate. :)

Dean Vegas, his name was. Performed "Vote One Dean Vegas" to the tune of "Viva Las Vegas" at one of his party meetings. Our new major is an ex-Marathon runner, so we really didn't have much to choose from.
