I recently had the pleasure of making acquaintance with the talented Richard Kiel (aka: JAWS) and his wife, Diane. Mr. Kiel graciously agreed to sit down with CBn and tell us about all about his life and his deadly encounters with Bond, James Bond.

Brilliant work as always Athena, what a great conversation you must have had when you talked to him.

Seems to be a huge and all around great Bond fan and person himself, would be great to meet him.

Always wondered what that other ending for TSWLM would look like. :)

Great job, Athena! :) :)

It's a fabulous interview, Athena. And another set of great graphics by Mister Asterix. :)

Athena, has Mr Kiel read through the CBN threads, if so does he have any objections to any of the stuff written here? :)

Once again CBN shows why, like Bond, we are the best.

The article itself is extraordinary because it touches on the facets of Kiel's career, not just the Bond era. That's a great touch Athena. Very well done!

And kudos too, to Mister Asterix for another outstanding job with the graphics.

Good stuff, Athena. :)

Who's next for the CBn interview? Pierce Brosnan? Although I suspect the questions you'd ask him would be inappropriate for public viewing, Athena.

Perhaps... but I'm sure he knows that people have differing opinions of his character. I

You'll just have to wait and see :) Although... No one ever said I could have a 2 part interview with Pierce... the public... and the private :)

Oh no! :)

I live in the city Toluca Lake (which is what I had in my profile before). Which is in Los Angeles County. Having an LA City and LA County used to confuse me. (technially I live in: Toluca Lake, Los Angeles, CA). So actually I haven't moved... yet. :)

I think we live on opposite sides of Downtown LA :) I'm over on the Burbank side. I live like right next to the studios. It's alright over here. I got a cute place.

While it was a great interview, I'm surprised you didn't read his book in preperation for the interview.

I had enough questions worked up that I think any more that I would have pulled from the book would have been too much. I'm going to be checking out his book, but I think for the interview, even if I had read the book before, it was good to let him talk about it himself. :)

Great interview, Athena. Very cool to get the background on the romance angle of his character in Moonraker.

Great job with the interview, Athena.

Always interesting to see someone from the Bond universe discussing their thoughts.

So, the inevitable question: who's next?

Congratulations to Athena (and all involved) for getting Richard Kiel to do the interview. :)

I have mixed feelings regarding the character of Jaws. He was excellent in The Spy Who Loved Me, but in Moonraker he was basically reduced to a comic lovesick teddy bear. The Jaws/Dolly romance is a serious contender for the most cringeworthy moment in the entire series for me, so I was particularly interested to read his comments about the Jaws/Dolly romance and how that came about.

Richard Kiel has always comes across as a very likable man when I have seen him interviewed on tv, or when I have read an interview such as the one for CBn. I wish him well.

nice job Athena! An interesting interview, and Mr. Kiel seems very down to earth....... and it's nice to see a Bond actor who was also a fan of the series.....

And now I've got his personalized autograph hanging on the toilet and everybody gets to see it if they want or not. :)

LOL!!! That's great!!!

Kinda scary though... I mean a guy whipping it out with Jaws staring at them... :)
