I find James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing to be very similiar to most of the Roger Moore Bond films.

Live And Let Die (1973):

- New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
- A singer performed the title song of the film in a bar/club setting in New Orleans.
- "Main Villain" kills three 00 Agent's. (In EoN, only 003 is killed.)

The Spy Who Loved Me (1977):

- Egypt, Africa
- Bond visits the ancient pyramids.
- Jaws (Richard Kiel)

Moonraker (1979):

- Jaws (Richard Kiel)
- Bond works with a female American agent.

For Your Eyes Only (1981):

- Bond visits a graveyard.
- Bond steals and flies a helicopter.

Octopussy (1983):

- A 00 Agent is killed during a mission.

A View To A Kill (1985):

- Max Zorin
- 003 is killed while on a mission.
- Bond visits a mine shaft.
- The "Bond Girl" is a geologist.

Tell me if you find any more similarities so that I can add them to the list.

A lot of EA's previous Bond games have been influenced by the Moore era as well, such as AUF's Atlantis base (TSWLM); Nightfire's space station and cable cars (Moonraker); and 007 Racing's use of LALD elements (Whisper, Jaws, Louisiana Bayou, etc.). And while we're at it, even Goldeneye borrowed from the Moore era for its bonus missions (Jaws, Baron Samedi, Golden Gun).

Most of the developers were probably raised on the Moore era, and the over the top characters and plots do lend themselves to games quite easily.

I haven't played the game yet, but I have been following it and it does seem like it has some very interesting similarities.

The Zorin connection is most obviously the most interesting in my opinion.

Good list Righty!

I quite liked the Zorin reference, too:

"We played bridge. He lost." - great line, and it's nice to see a bit of continuity in the Bond universe (although does that mean Nightfire/AUF took place too?)

I noticed these Roger Moore-esque similarities while playing the game. They were a nice touch and worked extremely well.
