My Poor Saab Story

And today an article about the Saab appears on MI-6's main page.
Doh!
LOL.
We're both great sites and we aggressively compete for news (which makes us both better news sites), but this goes into the arena of personal ideas. I fear if I now post my article I may be accused of "stealing" their idea. But, honestly, it looks like we both just had this idea at the same time. I work in Hollywood. This happens all the time. No one ever steals in Hollywood, right?
Seriously, I've put a lot of hard work into this and I really think I've got an article that tells the complete "Saab Story" in a way that it's never been told before. (The MI-6 article is a bit threadbare anyway. They even left off a few gadgets!) Would people still like to read it?
At least the Saab is now getting the respect it deserves.

Do it John. I found the other article lacking in many respects.

I do like that B/W one they have, though- is it outside Pinewood? I can't make it out. And who's that standing next to it?
Keep that piece coming though, Zen. Sounds really interesting (as do those posters). Remember, if you need a hand at all, just give me a bell. I can even do some artwork if you fancy. Here's my car (with modifications):

I touch defensive, aren't they? And, yes, some of their pics are the same pics you posted here last week. I guess it's just "bad luck on your part."Well boo and hiss to them- I can't see any indication that you said they ripped you off. Familiar looking pictures, though..
But, like I said, people have the same idea at the same time. It happens. And I didn't realize they posted the story two days ago. I just heard about it this morning.
LOVE the pic of your car. You crack me up.

Ya... get to work, Bug. We have a house to buyThanks all. I will post it. But it will be a few weeks. I want to get those posters from eBay, and I need to do some of my real-world work that I've been neglecting because I keep coming up with cool things I want to write for CBn! Back to the salt mines.
Could have fooled me But man, you think it would be legal to make those kind of "fake" modifications on ones car and drive around. I mean, here in LA guys modify their vehicles all the time. Of course not with rockets and things, but... I do wonder...Sorry, yes Athena- that really is my car- but it doesn't really have those things coming out of it. I rendered them in 3DSMax and placed them on in Photoshop. Hence my asking John if he needed anything similar doing.

Now, Finesse, don't get me in trouble. Remember, I'm not saying they stole my idea. Just that I have the same idea in the works and I don't want to be the one accused of stealing from them. MI6 is a fine site.
But ours is better.

Agreed, and CBn never ceases to amaze me. The forums, the news, the graphics, the categories, the stories, the members, the staff, the help....I could go on!A cross town rivalry is never a bad thing. It makes both teams better, I think.

Thanks for all the humor, gang. I was very bummed when I learned I had been scooped this morning, but I feel much better now. I'm actually going to add more to my article now.
