In Victoria, Australia 3AW is the top rating station, and it's talk back.

http://www.3aw.com

My preference for the hosts are Derryn Hinch and Neil Mitchell, their the most opinionated of the hosts.

On 2GB listen out for Stan Zemanek (sp?) and Steve Price. Both former Melbourne people from 3AW.

Well I won't post links since you have web access and can easily search but here are a few that I like. One can find almost anything based on one's proclivities.

If you are looking for political, talk radio is dominated by Conservative politics. These are the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, and Sean Hannity. Out of these, I like only Sean Hannity. The others are a bit repetitive and bombastic.

For a Liberal political view try almost anything on NPR. I find the NPR shows to be much more academic in their presentation, and therefore much more tolerable to listen to, even though I don't agree with a lot of their politics. They are also heavy into the Arts, and have a plethora of special features on these matters. I donate to them because of their focus on the Arts.

For money management, search on Dave Ramsey. Dave injects some religion into his show. Nevertheless the sole focus of the show is on personal money management and debt avoidance. The U.S. is addicted to debt, and most here are living well beyond their means. This show provides a good antidote to debt poisoning.

There are good programs on that show, I like "The Connection with Dick Gordon" his show topics range from politics to different types of moths (which was surprisingly interesting) However, I think my favorite show would have to be "A Prarie Home Companion". a good radio show, love to hear the bluegrass artists, and others types of genre musicians appearing on that show, and the news from Lake Wabbegon. There touring in SC Next Year.

Well sometime I get him on the local classic rock station. However, you can catch the airing of his radio show on TV in the States on E! entertainment television.
