Wow.
Okay.
Wow.
Have you created any structure regarding play?

This isn't a particularly good one, but what about the "Virtual Shooting Range Chamber" (named after the simulator thingy from Die Another Day - okay, it didn't have a name in the movie, I'm divining it from Raymond Benson's novelisation)?

I figure that will be dictated by whoever creates/runs the game.
This reminds me, another advantage/reason for Role Playing to have its own forums is that if a member in high standing should wish to create something we could give them limited moderator powers for this forum to help them run the play.

The moderator needs to have some limited control over play.
There also needs to be some limited structure, ie. order of play, some basics regading characters, weapons carried, cars...not TOO elaborate, but something that fills in the gaps for the moderator and allow the moderator or Game Master, as I like to call it, to keep the players in sync with the environment and the mission at hand.
Just a thought.

The question is what would the rules be? I’ve been playing Role Playing games for nearly 25 years now, but I’ve never done it online before. I'm not sure what would work.
Any ideas?

Play could revolve in the order of 00's, for instance, 001 would go first, followed by 002, etc. (The order could be determined at the GM's descrition.)
Never-the-less, what ever the order, this would insure that at the completion of each 00's play, that duplicate actions or overlapping action is limited, so that the objective the 00's are trying to achieve, can be realized much more efficiently.
We have used dice to determine percentile of chance, however, this is not always necessary. The GM could control all of this, and/or a little seat of the pants gaming is always fun, much like what we are doing here.
The first post of the thread should set the stage and establish the order of play. Much like if your the one dealing the cards. You are in control, so you set the rules for that particular game.
Eventually, by mutual consensus, a form of structure that is agreeable to everyone will begin to surface without having too much "red tape" involved to slow down play.
What do you think?

Mission is a perfect name.
That is exactly what the 00's would engage in.

Or, perhaps, Missions would merely be a the subject of Role Playing.
Each individul thread would entail its own moderator, format, objectives. etc. Role Playing is a decent general heading, however, I do like MISSIONS.
Your opinion?

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Never mind all you post-count obsessives - here's a sure fire way to get those post counts up until you're definitely better people (or whatever having a high post count does that you value so highly and become so agitated at losing)
