You heard correctly lol. I really wish the producers would actually take the time to pick a Brilliant artist such as Michael Buble. He would be truly bring the Bond song title back into pristine order.

Don't think this type of song will make it back into the Bond series; but if it did, you could put some very dramatic footage into the titles Very good thanks for bringing it to my attention ![]() Volante - Fan Fic Author

No. It sometimes seems like Buble's spent his whole career singing Bassey like Bond songs, in the hope of being picked to sing one.
The Producers shouldn't pick an artist based on a narrow "Bondian" cliché, but try to find a new sound. Which is largely why the last couple of songs have failed. Though DAD was just an anomaly, a super-massive black hole of ![]() |

First of all DAD suck in general. It had good action but he was to much of a superhero. The song Madonna sang was the worst bond theme i have ever heard. You Know My Name by Chris Cornell was truly amazing but wasn't the greatest. Quantum of Solace theme song Suck even worse than DAD, Alicia Keyes and Jack White shouldn't of been allowed to do that theme. It sounded so horrible. The theme doesn't even fit the movie. They need something that is catchy and if so bondian, because if they don't, they might as well take out the title song because it's just going to hurt the franchise even more. They are just screwing the

I'd like a song more like YKMN for Bond 23's main theme, but have something like that over the end credits. YKMN works brilliantly as a recurring action theme, then something more like that would be good as a love theme, my favourite Bond scores are the ones that impliment the main theme into the film.

Nostalgia is a part of Bond films no doubt, even the novels were looking back at a not too distant past. However a Bond song should be something, new, imaginative, different. Setting not following a trend.

Not saying the name's bond, why is the vodka martini called the vesper which is a reference to casino royale , no gadgets, terrible music. So "these producers" which are "mashing up" Bond (which even in modern parlance is not what they are doing - a "mash up" is something completely different) are they? Can you signpost some examples and who you get to croon a Bond tune? And where - once you have written the script and Sony have locked it off with your agent and paid you - where you would put the "Bond James Bond" line and why you would no longer call Bond's Martini a "Vesper" having removed all reference to Ms Lynd from Ian Fleming's original novel and the shadows of Bond's mind forever more....? Curious, that's all. They are just screwing the Presumably I have missed the scene where Daniel Craig sings "I am a hitman for the county and I drive the main road...". |

And the song you mention is far from the greatest Bond song ever - especially as it was written for another film in the early 1950's and is a typical Buble Sinatra-lite cover.
I like Buble mind. But I don't like his choice of material. Apeing Harry Connick Jr apeing Sinatra is not good in my book... and neither is the somewhat bland and obvious X FACTOR orchestra orchestrations on this one. Just my opinion though... |

The guy who directed Quantum of Solace had his head up his No experience? None, at all? Really? Now, look, I can respect the opinion of those who say they dislike the direction on QoS. It's not for everyone, and even I think it's not Forster's best work, but no experience? No experience, as a phrase, would imply the man has never in his life directed anything before. Forster, however, has directed nine films to date, which between them have a total of ten Oscar nominations (2 for Monster's Ball, 7 for Finding Neverland, 1 for the Kite Runner) and two wins (1 Monster's Ball, 1 Finding Neverland). And his films are generally well-received, for the most part. You may not like the way he did things on Quantum of Solace, but the man is hardly void of directorial experience. Now, one could make the case he was inexperienced in the way of set-pieces, but I would argue the man did fine. Just my penny. ![]() |
