Now on the CBn main page...

'Goldfinger', 'Diamonds Are Forever', 'The Spy Who Loved Me', 'Licence To Kill', 'GoldenEye' and 'The World Is Not Enough'

Just announced for Australia for release on 18th March. There should be a similiar timed issue in UK/US etc.

Goldfinger
Diamonds Are Forever
The Spy Who Loved Me
Licence To Kill
GoldenEye
The World Is Not Enough

Presumably we'll get QOS at the same time

Pretty safe bet, thanks for the heads up. smile.gif

Some men aren't looking for anything logical. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Sean Connery IS James Bond.

Quantum of Solace - Good Bond movie, Bad Sequel. Casino Royale is the BEST modern Bond movie.

GoldenEye on Blu. Fantastic. I hope they resolve the issues that the UE had, though I will not hold my breath.

Excellent news - and to be expected with Quantum of Solace hitting DVD that month.

Me too... I decided to limit my Bond Blu-Ray collection to CR (the only one that I have, right now), DN, FYEO, TLD and OHMSS (& QOS). Hence, I was expecting to be able to get completed to the time of the second set would arrived...well I will have to wait a little more.

Wouldn't it be more logical that at least 2 more of the Roger Moore films would be released as he has 7 films?
If this list is true, that would mean the final wave would have 1 Connery and 4 Roger Moore films: You Only Live Twice, The Living Daylights, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, The Man With The Golden Gun, Moonraker, Octopussy, A View To A Kill and Tomorrow Never Dies? Hmm.

I've seen the DVD reissues out at Target for Octopussy and The Living Daylights, so I'm sure those are probably coming in the next wave.

Quantum of Solace will be out in March.

I hope they sort out the cropping issues with the GoldenEye release. And include the original burnt in subtitles.

Agreed. Imagine, the UE version becomes what people think the film actually is, and the original release is forgotten. It's actually scary.

Between this release & the first one, almost all the Connery films are out - nice! I would have preferred On Her Majesty’s Secret Service in this round as well. The first batch of discs got good marks for correcting past issues so I am optimistic that GoldenEye will be fixed too.

Thing is there's very any logic when it comes to these release schedules, though.

It may be the Rogers need extra work. All of Sean's films were fully restored at 4K resolution but only the early Rogers (LALD, TMWTGG, TSWLM). Most of Roger's were scanned at 2K and not subject to the same scrutiny.

As Sean's were properly restored and Pierce's are recent enough that the prints are in good condition they could likely be issued on Blu-Ray with little tweaking. Perhaps the Rogers need some extra work or a 4K scan to bring out the best in them. FYEO was the weakest looking Blu-Ray of the latest batch, in my opinion. This is perhaps due to the late 70s/early 80s soft focus photography, or it could have been just the scan was at too poor a resolution. Although logically it doesn't make sense, but a 4K scan downsized to 2K for Blu-Ray tends to look better than a native 2K scan

Ouch! This is a tough grouping. Three of my least favourite Bond films all at once! (Hint - they don't feature Connery or Moore). It'd be awesome if there was a Buy 1 get 1 free sale, then I could pair up the three bad ones with the three good ones smile.gif

I felt the same way and it will be tough for me to hand over any money for The World is not Enough.
